THE HOOT DISPOSAL OPTIONS

NETAFIM DRIP IRRIGATION

Drip Irrigation allows for disposal of effluent in the root zone of ground cover.  The shallow installation (normally 6 to 9 inches) allows for uptake of water and nutrients still present in the wastewater.

Drip irrigation is considered the most efficient method of disposal.  It is an intelligent choice for those looking to optimize reuse potential in areas with limited ground water resources.

INFILTRATOR LEACHING CHAMBERS

Leaching chambers offer a direct replacement for stone and pipe leach fields.  Their recycling attribute is for groundwater recharge.   They provide cost-effective, efficient methods for handling residential and commercial wastewater.  Leaching chambers offer a smaller footprint compared with stone and pipe systems.

K-RAIN SPRINKLERS

Some areas ( Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana only) allow the use of surface irrigation to dispose of treated effluent. We recommend and distribute K-Rain, Pro Plus Series Sprinklers for these applications because they have been specifically designed for use with treated effluent. They feature a non-potable water purple top, a check valve to reduce draining of lines and a special filter to prevent clogging.

All K-Rain Spray heads supplied through HOOT also feature unique, low-angle orifices which keep the trajectory at a low 12 degrees. This ensures, even in heavy winds, the spray will stay within the homeowner's property lines.
